Morning Yoga & Meditation

Each morning begins in stillness and presence. We rise with the sun and gather for guided meditation to center the mind and awaken the senses. This is followed by gentle pranayama (breath work) to energise and harmonise the body. As the golden light spills over the ocean, we move through flowing sun salutations and a dynamic morning yoga practice that builds strength, flexibility, and inner calm. Practicing by the sea, with the fresh island breeze and the sound of waves, creates a deeply grounding and expansive start to the day.

Nature Connexion

Afternoons are devoted to reconnecting with the natural world. We’ll

swim in the crystal-clear waters of the South Pacific and snorkel among vibrant coral reefs teeming with marine life—from colorful

tropical fish to the iconic blue starfish unique to these waters. These underwater encounters offer a magical window into the

island’s rich biodiversity. We’ll also enjoy mindful walks along the shoreline, soaking in breathtaking coastal views and the peaceful rhythm of the sea. As the sun begins to lower, we gather under the open sky for grounding Hatha yoga sessions—designed to harmonize body, mind, and nature. This is a time to move slowly, breathe deeply, and feel fully alive in the elements.

Cultural Exchange

Step into the heart of Vanuatu’s vibrant culture through two hands-on workshops led by local community members. In the traditional cooking workshop, you'll learn how to prepare Simboro—a beloved island dish made from grated root vegetables like taro or yam, gently wrapped in

island cabbage leaves and simmered in rich coconut milk. It’s a nourishing, soulful experience that connects you to the land and its flavours. In the

artisan workshop, you’ll work alongside skilled local craftspeople to create handmade souvenirs using natural materials found on the island. Whether weaving, carving, or jewellery-making, this is a beautiful way to engage with island traditions and take home a meaningful piece of your experience.

Yoga Philosophy

One special day of the retreat is dedicated to diving deeper into the heart of yoga beyond the physical postures. In a relaxed and open setting, we’ll

explore the foundational principles of yoga—its history, ethics, and purpose. We’ll discuss the Eight Limbs of Yoga, the concept of union between body, mind, and spirit, and how these ancient teachings can be applied to modern life. This session offers space for reflection, journaling, and meaningful conversation about what yoga truly is and how it can support a more conscious, balanced way of living. Whether you're new to yoga or have an existing practice, this is an opportunity to plant seeds of wisdom and gain a richer understanding of the journey within.

Nourishing Island Cuisine

Throughout the retreat, you’ll be treated to vibrant, wholesome meals that reflect the abundance and vitality of Vanuatu’s natural bounty. Our menu is lovingly prepared with fresh, local ingredients—highlighting tropical fruits, root vegetables, leafy greens, and fragrant herbs. Each dish is vegetarian or vegan, thoughtfully crafted to support your practice, nourish your

body, and delight your senses. Enjoy flavourful island-inspired dishes that are both grounding and energising. You’ll sip on refreshing smoothies made from seasonal fruits like papaya, mango, and banana, and stay hydrated with freshly cracked coconuts straight from the tree. Meals are shared in the community, inviting slow eating, gratitude, and meaningful connection around the table.

Vanuatu is one of the South Pacific best kept secrets and totally underrated.  Vanuatu attained independence in 1980 and today the country relies heavily on tourism to support the country's economy and growth.

The Vanuatu life, respect and community spirit runs deep in their culture. Kava, a plant root, a drug, the South Pacific equivalent of alcohol, plays a huge role in everyones life both directly and indirectly. Ni-Vans have strong values and ideals, and are often know to be great at living for the day!
